South Thailand warned of effects from Philippine volcano eruption
BANGKOK: — Hospitals in southern Thailand have been warned of possible negative effects from the possible eruption of the Mayon volcano in the Philippines about people suffering from asthma or other breathing difficulties a spokesman of the Public Health Ministry said Saturday.
The spokesman said that dust and smog from the volcano could pose breathing problems for people in southern Thailand and that the ministry had ordered hospitals in the region to closely monitor the situation.
