Duke of York to visit Thailand and take audience with HM the King
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a memo to publicize the itinerary of Prince Andrew Albert Christian Edward, the Duke of York, who is scheduled to visit Thailand from the 31st of August until the 5th of September. Prince Andrew’s visit will be as a special representative of trade and investment between Thailand and the United Kingdom.
For the occassion, His Majesty the King has granted the Duke of York audience with him and has given him Royal Visitor status. Prince Andrew will also take audience with Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on the 4th of September.
Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej will mark the Duke of York’s visit with a luncheon at the Government House.
Thailand and the United Kingomd have a long history of strong relations and Prince Andrew’s visit is considered an affirmation of continued good will.

UK Duke of York postpones visit to Thailand

Britain’s Duke of York has postponed his visit to Thailand. He was scheduled to arrive yesterday, the British Embassy said.
“With the agreement of the Thailand and British governments, the Duke of York has decided it would be appropriate to postpone his official visit to Thailand to a later date”, the embassy said.
The visit was planned for six days.
